Botanicals and natural approaches to wellness were familiar parts of family life—knowledge shared across generations, adapted through experience, and carried into everyday care.
These traditions existed long before there was a business. Over time, they became the foundation for a deeper exploration of botanicals, essential oils, and complementary ingredients—and how they could be brought together with greater intention.
Those experiences would eventually help shape Lodis Lane Natural Living: a brand influenced by family tradition, but developed through continued learning, formulation, and a desire to create with purpose.
Some of the earliest Lodis Lane formulations were created in response to the needs of the people closest to me.
After a serious car accident left my mother dealing with persistent knee discomfort, I began exploring how the botanical knowledge I had grown up with could be applied more intentionally. I developed a body-care formulation specifically for her, drawing from botanicals and ingredients selected with her needs in mind.
What began as one formulation eventually inspired complementary products and helped shape the way I approached product development: Start with a genuine need. Formulate with intention. Consider the larger experience.
That approach became an important part of Lodis Lane—and continues to influence how the brand develops today.
As Lodis Lane grew, creating in small batches became an important part of how we worked. It allowed us to stay closely connected to each product—from preparation and formulation to the details of the finished presentation.
That hands-on approach shaped more than the products themselves. It encouraged us to think about how scent, texture, function, and presentation come together to create a complete experience.
Over time, that perspective became part of the Lodis Lane approach:
Care in the process should be reflected in the experience of the finished product.
